Eligibility
International fee paying students who hold an unconditional offer for one of their postgraduate degree programmes and who pay international tuition fees may apply for a scholarship. (Home and EU students are not eligible for the scholarship.)

You can't apply for a scholarship unless you have applied for a course and been given an unconditional offer to study at London Met (current continuing students are the only exception to this rule).

Selection criteria:
Applicants are judged on academic merit and on the likely economic/social benefit to their home country of them doing a Masters degree in the UK. (This must be clearly demonstrated in the personal statement that the above criteria are met, evidence of paid and/or voluntary work done should also be included in the scholarship application, where applicable.)

There are TWO ways to complete your scholarship application form: you may apply for the scholarships electronically either directly online or by emailing the downloaded word application form. The deadlines for accessing this and applying are as below.

Remember you can not apply for a scholarship unless you have applied for a course and been given an unconditional offer to study at London Met. If you do not have an offer to study at London Met yet, please refer to How to Apply page.

DEADLINES:
Applications for London Met scholarships are reviewed twice yearly (in June and November) by a panel of academic staff at the University. The application deadlines are 31 May for September entry and 31 October for February entry.

PLEASE NOTE:
Evidence of paid and/or voluntary work done should also be included in the scholarship application, where applicable.

Please note that London Met will not pay for your tuition of any pre-sessional courses that you may be required to take before you begin your postgraduate course

Also note that Short courses, Foundation Programmes, HND's and pre-Masters degrees are not covered by any of London Metropolitan University's Scholarships.

You MUST hold an unconditional offer from London Met to be eligible to apply for any one of these scholarships.

The five IMD MBA Alumni Scholarships are designed to encourage diversity in the class, with each awarded to a different region: Asia, Africa/Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe/North America/Oceania.

Method of Application
If you are interested in applying, follow these steps:

1) Acceptance into the IMD MBA Program
2) Submit an essay. Please draw on your own experiences in your answer, rather than on general, broad statements. The committee is looking for essays that are personal, visionary and demonstrate leadership, which include a clearly articulated description of how the solution could be implemented.

Applicants are also required to submit an MBA Financial Aid Application Form.

2014/15 Government of Czech Republic Scholarships for Developing Countries’ Students

Czech Government Scholarships for Developing Countries’ Students in the field of Economics, Agriculture, Informatics, Environment and Energetic at public universities in the Czech Republic. Scholarships are available for pursuing Bachelor/ Master/ Doctoral degree level. The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from Developing Countries at Public Institutions of Higher Education in the Czech Republic. The application deadline is 30 September.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided in the field of Economics, Agriculture, Informatics, Environment and Energetics at public universities in the Czech Republic.
 
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Bachelor/ Master/ Doctoral degree level at  public universities in the Czech Republic. Within the scope of foreign development cooperation the Czech Republic provides scholarships for the following studies:
(1) Pursued in the Czech language:
-Bachelor’s study programmes (three- to four-year long);
-Master’s study programmes (comprehensive four- to six-year long programmes);
-Doctoral study programmes (three- to four-year long).

Scholarship Description: Government of the Czech Republic offers the program of development cooperation foreigners from developing countries scholarships to support study at public universities in the Czech Republic. The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships Within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from Developing Countries at Public Institutions of Higher Education in the Czech Republic. Upon a Decision of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, scholarships of the Government of the Czech Republic are granted to promote studies of specific Bachelor’s, Master’s, follow-up Master’s and/or Doctoral study programmes in the on-site mode of study of a specific study programme pursued by a public HEI (or its Faculty) for a period that equals the regular duration of studies. Scholarships are not transferable to other persons or other academic years. Once a scholarship is granted, neither the public HEI nor the study programme and/or field of study may be changed.

Number of award(s): A limited number of scholarships are also offered to applicants from selected developing countries through UNESCO.

Duration of award(s): These Government Scholarships are designed to cover the standard length of study.
(1) Pursued in the Czech language:

Notification: If the application has been accepted and may proceed to the next round of the selection procedure, the Mission shall ask the selected applicants to attend an interview. The most successful applicants shall be asked to submit complete documentation by a given deadline that the Mission shall determine so as to ensure that proposals for scholarships to be granted in a new academic year are at the disposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (Development Cooperation Department, hereinafter abbreviated as “DCD”) and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (International Relations Department, hereinafter abbreviated as “IRD”) in Prague by 31 December of the year prior to the given academic year at the latest.

How to Apply: An application for a scholarship of the Government of the CR can only be submitted through a Diplomatic Mission of the Czech Republic in the given country (hereinafter referred to as the “Mission”). Each applicant is obliged to fill in an electronic application form. The applicant shall send the filled in application form to the Mission in electronic form, i.e. by completing online registration. Applicants for a scholarship of the Government of the CR shall submit the documentation in two counterparts (i.e. two separate identical files). Only complete documentation that meets the requirements stated in this Chapter shall be considered. Documentation that does not meet the requirements shall be officially returned without any further reasoning. In order for an applicant to be admitted to study at a HEI, his/her documents proving foreign educational attainment must be recognized in the CR. It is advisable that when travelling to the CR, students should have at least two extra counterparts of the documents necessary for the admission procedure and for the recognition of foreign educational attainment with them. It is also recommended that students who shall pursue their studies at a HEI without the one-year long language and preparatory studies have their education recognized already prior to their arrival in the CR. The actual procedure is published on the public HEI website. If it is not possible to have documents translated into the Czech language pursuant to the requirements specified hereinafter in the country that nominates the applicant for the studies, applicants may enclose legalized translations into the English language done by a sworn translator/interpreter.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 30 September. Prospective Applicants are advised to address Concerning Their inquiries, among others, Their Eligibility and closing date for applications to the  Czech Embassies in their Countries. 
Note: The scholarships are dedicated to Solel Promoting the WHO studies of adults are foreign nationals from third Developing Countries in need. Neither a citizen of the Czech Republic, nor a citizen of the European Union, nor any other foreign national with a permanent residence permit on the territory of the Czech Republic May Therefore apply for the scholarship. Furthermore, the scholarships May Not Be Granted to persons Younger Than 18th (The Applicant has to turn 18 as of September 1 of the year When s / he commences studies in the Czech Republic at the latest).

What does it cover? The Award will entitle a Recipient to either one of the following:
a) Full scholarship: covers tuition, living expenses and full waiver on all registrations and annual fees.
b) Bursary: covers tuition fees only. This Award is not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
