This online directory features employers nationwide who are looking to recruit nurses with baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees. These employers acknowledge that nurses with higher levels of education bring unique skills to the practice setting.
Eligibility
To be eligible:
Citizens of any country, attending schools affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com or NursingCAS.
Participating Institutions
Eligible applicants must be admitted or enrolled in a nursing school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com or have submitted an application through nursing’s centralized application service, NursingCAS (see below).

Number of awards
Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year.
Scholarship benefits
Through 2015, CertifiedBackground.com will award eight student scholarships a year, worth $5,000 each, totaling $200,000 over five years.
Method of Application
Eligible applicants must have submitted an application through nursing’s centralized application service, NursingCAS. Applicants must be admitted or enrolled in a nursing school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com

- Maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average in current program or at last school attended.
- Be enrolled at a school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com OR have submitted your application to a nursing school through NursingCAS
