Curtin University is offering scholarships to international students
for pursuing an undergraduate degree in computing science, applied
information technology or related computing fields. Applicants must be
commencing the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at
Curtin University in semester 1, 2014. Five scholarships are offered for
three years. The scholarship consists of a total fixed value of $5,000
to assist with costs associated with studying and will be awarded to
students over the period of 3 years.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided in the field of business information technology (single major), business information technology & systems (double major) and business information systems (single major) offered by the Curtin University in Australia.
Course Level: The scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate degree level at Curtin University in Australia.
Scholarship Provider: Curtin University in Australia.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for an Information Systems Scholarship:
-Be an international student and hold a valid Student Visa – Higher Education (Subclass 573)
-Have received a Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) into an eligible undergraduate business degree and major at Curtin University in 2014
-Be commencing the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in semester 1, 2014.
Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for the scholarships.

The
Information Systems Scholarship Program has been developed to encourage
and reward students interested in computing science, applied
information technology or related computing fields who have demonstrated
academic potential and a strong understanding of their chosen course of
study.
Number of award(s): Five scholarships are offered.
Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for three years.
What does it cover? The scholarship consists of a total fixed value of $5,000 to assist with costs associated with studying and will be awarded to students over the period of 3 years as follows: (based on full time study load of 100 credit points each semester)
-$1,000 per semester in year 1
-$750 per semester in year 2
-$750 per semester in year 3
Payments occur post census date each semester. Payments will be made approximately mid-end April and September each year.
Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit. Applications will be assessed by a selection panel using the following criteria:
-Demonstrated a strong understanding of chosen course of study through the ‘Innovation Statement’
-Academic merit
-Responses to questions in application
-Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) into an eligible undergraduate business school degree at Curtin University in 2014.
Notification: All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via email in mid-January.
How to Apply: The mode of applying is by post.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is November 22, 2013.
