Some companies, organizations and various other bodies offer scholarships to undergraduates to study in Nigerian and foreign Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. While some award full tuition scholarships, others only offer a specified amount (i.e. partial tuition).

Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholarships Programme
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for the Masters (MSc) and PhD as well as Undergraduate Scholarships, under the PTDF Scholarship Scheme. The PTDF Scholarship will be awarded for studies in areas listed below, in the United Kingdom, France and upgraded Universities in Nigeria for the current session. However, the Undergraduate level will be awarded for studies in Nigeria only

University of East Anglia Science Foundation Scholarships

Federal Government Nigerian Scholarships Tenable in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions

Federal Government Oversea Scholarships for Nigerians
The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education through the Federal Scholarship Board is offering the Bilateral Educational Agreement (BEA) Oversea Scholarships to Nigerian undergraduate, masters and doctoral students.
Bilateral Educational Agreement (BEA) Awards are scholarship awards made to eligible Nigerian youths after due process by development partners who have entered into Bilateral Educational agreement with Nigeria. Nigeria equally offers reciprocal awards to citizens of the following Bilateral Education Agreement countries: China, Romania, and Cuba

Imo State Government Scholarships for Imo State Students
Imo State is one of the states in Nigeria with a high literacy rate. The prestige of a family is determined by the number of educated persons it has produced. Interest in education is self evident from educational development efforts of communities. Such efforts include the provision of educational opportunities and physical structures for the advancement of knowledge.
In fulfillment of his promise to extend free education to the State owned tertiary institutions, the Imo State governor in January 2012 distributed scholarship forms to students of Imo State origin.
The Governor reiterated that the free education programme will commence in September 2012 onwards, and that the free education programme will be extended to indigenes of Imo State schooling in other tertiary institutions during the second phase of the programme, adding that indigent students of the State owned schools that are non-indigenes will be given scholarships as well.

Ikeoha Foundation Scholarship Awards for Enugu State students

BAT Nigeria Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
The British American Tobacco Nigeria (BATN) / British American Tobacco Iseyin Agronomy (BATIA) Scholarship Scheme was established in 2004 to encourage the higher educational ambitions of children (aged 18 and above) of BATIA’s registered tobacco farmers.
In 2005, the Scholarship Scheme’s scope was expanded to include eligible students from across the country. This expansion was based on stakeholder expectations raised at a stakeholder dialogue session.
In continuation of its support for Nigeria’s agricultural (and non-agricultural) development, British American Tobacco Nigeria (BATN), in conjunction with British American Tobacco Iseyin Agronomy (BATIA) invites applications from qualified Nigerian undergraduates, for the BATN/BATIA Scholarship Scheme in Nigerian Universities

Lagos State Local Scholarship Award for Lagos State Indigenes
The Lagos State Scholarship Board is one of the earliest agencies established shortly after the creation of the state. It was constituted through Executive Council Memorandum No LSEC (68) as an advisory and implementation organ on Scholarship awards. The Board administers both the Lagos State Local and Foreign Scholarship Awards.
The Local Scholarship Award is for prospective students of Lagos State origin except otherwise directed by His Excellency. It was resuscitated in the year 2002. Students should be on full-time and not part-time studies.

The MTN Foundation provides financial support to over 500 eligible Science and Technology 200 level/2nd year full time students in accredited public universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria. It covers tuition, book allowance and stipend (pocket allowance). Deadline falls within October/November.

MUSTE Scholarships for Undergraduate Nigerian Students

Each year, the Chief Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Board announces Four million naira worth of Scholarships for Forty Nigerian Students of high academic standing in Nigerian institutions of higher learning to further their education. These scholarships are only for those who are registered in any of Nigeria’s Tertiary institutions.
Applications are invited for the Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship Awards for Nigerian students. From 2012/13, the award will be for 20 (twenty) students, each of whom will receive One hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) for their education. Deadline falls around August each year.

a. Shell Nigeria University Scholarship Programme
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SHELL/TEPN/AGIP Joint Venture) Scholarship Scheme offers first year students in all Nigerian universities the opportunity to study with an annual grant from the SPDC Joint Venture for the full duration of their course.
Launched in 1960, this post-secondary scheme is open to all Nigerians studying degree programmes in Nigerian universities. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve skills-base among young Nigerians.

b. Shell Secondary School Scholarship Scheme
The Shell Nigeria Secondary School Scholarship Scheme is for host communities in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Imo and Rivers states. Every year, an average of 2,600 post-primary scholarships are awarded in the seven states. The Secondary School Scholarship Scheme is to help students pay through school, as well as enhance academic achievement in host communities.

MTN Foundation / MUSON Music Scholarship Awards for Nigerian students
